I just spent almost the whole afternoon fixing this guy’s car. He kept adding more and more stuff while I was working too. “Can you check this?” “Can you tighten that?” “Can you look at this noise?” I did everything he asked because I thought this dude was gonna take care of the tip after all that extra work.
Then when everything was done he just pulls out $40 and hands it to me like that’s supposed to cover all the effort I just put into his car. I’m standing there looking at it thinking… that’s it??? After all the requests and extra things you made me do??
If someone spends hours fixing your car and saving you from going to a shop that would charge way more, how is $40 supposed to make sense after all that work??
