A wave of concern has spread across social media after videos surfaced claiming that former Nickelodeon actor Tylor Chase, best known for his role in Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, has been spotted struggling with homelessness in Los Angeles.
The 36-year-old actor, once a familiar face on the beloved early-2000s sitcom, has reportedly fallen on hard times — and fans across the country are expressing heartbreak over his situation.
The show, which aired from 2004 to 2007, followed the middle-school misadventures of Ned Bigby and his friends. Chase portrayed Martin Qwerly, the talkative and quirky classmate who quickly became a fan favorite.
But in recent days, a series of viral clips has claimed that Chase was spotted homeless in California. A social media user known as lethallalli shared videos that appeared to show the actor on the streets, saying she recognized him and wanted to help.
In one post, she wrote, “I showed him the post I made for him and he said that’s awesome! He said he’ll appreciate any help.” The influencer later announced plans to set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the former child star, writing that he was “so excited” by the kindness shown by fans online.
The fundraiser quickly gained attention and collected more than $1,200 from sympathetic supporters hoping to help Chase get back on his feet.
However, the story took an unexpected turn. Another TikTok user, didyoucatchthis, posted screenshots suggesting someone claiming to be Chase’s mother had reached out to lethallalli, saying her son needed medical assistance rather than financial aid.
