I don’t even know if what I did was right or wrong, but I couldn’t just keep walking past it anymore.

Every time I jog around this area, I always see this homeless man living in that small trailer with his dog. I kept noticing the dog barely getting enough food and just stuck in that tight space all day. It started to bother me more and more. Not trying to judge, but I don’t think a dog deserves to live like that, in a cramped setup with barely anything.

I ended up taking the dog and calling animal welfare after. I told them everything and brought it to a shelter because I honestly think it has a better chance there than staying in that situation. I hope the homeless man understands why I did it, because in my head I was trying to help both of them. The dog gets a better shot, and he doesn’t have to struggle taking care of it when he already has his own problems. If that makes me the bad person then fine, but I wasn’t about to keep pretending that was okay.

I walked out to my car this morning and thought it got repossessed or something because there were giant bright yellow wheel locks clamped on both tires and a bunch of angry notes taped all over the windows.

I got home to my apartment today and saw this note taped to my door basically announcing that the water is being shut off for the next 24–48 hours because of some water main break.

It’s crazy how many people have no manners left in the world. I’m just trying to buy cereal and this guy is pushing a cart in his boxers and flip flops. They aren’t shorts but actual underwear in a food aisle.
