I walk into the restroom expecting basic hygiene, and instead I’m hit with this guy propping his bare foot up on the counter like it’s completely normal to scrub it where people wash their hands. Water splashing everywhere, paper towels all over the place, and zero awareness of how disgusting it looks.
I actually said something because someone had to, and instead of realizing how weird he looked, he got defensive like I was the problem. Imagine being that comfortable doing something that nasty in public and then acting tough when someone calls you out. It’s not confidence, it’s just straight-up lack of common sense.
And the craziest part is he just kept going, like nothing I said even mattered, just scrubbing away like the sink belongs to him. At that point it’s not even about cleanliness anymore, it’s about respect for other people using the same space. Nobody wants to come in after that and deal with whatever he left behind.
So yeah, I walked to the back and shut the water off while he was mid-clean like maybe that would finally get the message across. If you’re going to treat a public restroom like your own bathroom, don’t be surprised when someone reminds you it’s not. Because honestly, if you need to be taught that lesson at that age, that’s just embarrassing.
