about leaving a table like this. We just ate, everything piled up, drinks spilled, wrappers everywhere, yeah it’s messy but this is a fast food place, not my house.
I paid for the food, sat down, ate, and that’s where my responsibility ends. I’m not about to start bussing tables like I work a shift here too.
People really expect you to stack everything nice, wipe the table, throw every little thing away like you’re on payroll. For what? That’s literally what the crew is there for. I watched the worker come over with the broom and tray and I’m thinking… this is your job. You clocked in for this exact situation.
And let’s be honest, if every customer left everything spotless, what exactly would they be doing all day? Standing around waiting for something to clean? I’m not about to do free labor just to make things look cute for the next person.
I left it how it was and walked out, no guilt at all. If anything, I’m making sure they actually have something to do instead of people acting like unpaid employees cleaning up after themselves like it’s required.
