I am beyond pissed right now. I just had a full set of tires put on my SUV not even a week ago and somehow THIS is what I’m dealing with today.

I was literally pulling into a parking spot, barely moving, when I felt the car bump the curb and suddenly the tire completely ripped open like this.

I’m talking about a normal parking curb, not some massive rock or construction debris. I was going maybe 2–3 mph. Now the sidewall is shredded and the tire is basically destroyed. When I called the tire shop they immediately started telling me I must have “hit something hard.” Hard?? It was a parking lot curb that every car in the lot drives next to all day.

What really makes me angry is I paid almost $900 for these tires because they told me they were “high quality” and built to last. Now they’re telling me it’s “driver damage” and refusing to replace it. If a tire can’t survive lightly touching a curb while parking, how is that even considered a reliable product?

So now I’m stuck buying another tire days after paying for a full set while the shop acts like this is totally normal. I’m seriously considering filing a complaint because something about this doesn’t sit right with me at all.
