Nothing fancy. Just a casual place where everyone could eat what they wanted and we could relax for a bit.

When the bill came, I noticed something printed right at the bottom: a 15% gratuity already added.

No heads up, no mention from the server, just automatically included on the receipt.

I’m not against tipping at all, but it caught me off guard since this wasn’t a big group or anything—just a normal family dinner.

Maybe this is becoming more common at buffet places now, but it definitely surprised me when I saw the total jump at the end.

Has anyone else started seeing automatic gratuity like this lately?
