I went to the food bank hoping for things I could turn into actual meals… and walked out with this.

A mountain of canned goods — beans, soups, tomatoes, vegetables — plus rice, oats, flour, and crackers. I’m truly grateful for the help, but standing in my kitchen looking at everything laid out, I couldn’t help feeling a little overwhelmed.
It’s a lot of food, but not a lot of meals. Most of it needs fresh ingredients, seasoning, or other basics to turn into something edible. Right now it just feels like a big pile of ingredients without a clear plan.
I know food banks are doing their best with what they have, but this is the reality a lot of people are facing — lots of cans and very little that can be eaten as-is or easily combined into balanced dinners.
Anyone else been in this spot? How do you turn a haul like this into actual meals for the week?
