I’m walking out of Publix just minding my business,

and I see this old lady standing there with her little dog. It looks harmless, just sitting there, so I go up and ask if I can pet it, and she lets me.

The second I reach down and try to pet it, the dog snaps and bites me. No warning, no hesitation, just straight up bites me like I did something to it. I pull my hand back and I’m just standing there thinking what just happened.

I look at her, and she’s acting like it’s nothing, like this is normal. That’s what made it worse, because if you know your dog is like that, why are you letting people come up and touch it in the first place.

Now I’m walking away from Publix irritated, hand hurting, and thinking how stupid the whole situation was. I wasn’t messing with the dog, I literally asked, and she still let it happen.

That’s exactly why I can’t stand small dogs sometimes. It’s not even the bite, it’s the fact that people don’t control them and then act surprised when something like this happens.
